Rodman delivers second patrol boat to the Maritime Service of the Spanish Civil Guard
Named “Rio Trueba”, the new Rodman 66 is an all-weather patrol boat, specially designed to carry out patrol missions, fight against illegal immigration, protection of the marine environment, surveillance against drug trafficking and other specific missions of the Civil Guard.
This boat has been delivered today to the offices of the Provincial Maritime Service of Cantabria.
Rodman Polyships SAU, a Rodman Group shipyard specialized in the construction of all types of GRP (Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyester) vessels, delivers a new professional vessel to the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard. This is the new Rodman 66, a monohull, cabin-type construction, with an aluminum hull and deck and a fiberglass-reinforced polyester (GRP) superstructure using hybrid multiaxial materials of aramid and E-glass and other synthetic and mineral fibers.

With a total length of 22 meters and a maximum speed of 44 knots in acceptance conditions, it has been created by the shipyard's design, technical and engineering teams, perfectly combining high performance, reliability, construction quality and navigation characteristics.
The propulsion is made up of two MAN engines of 1,400 HP each and two Hamilton Waterjets.
It has a maximum capacity for 5 crew members, with two cabins. The accommodation is completed with a kitchen, dining room, living area and full bathroom.
With a range of more than 800 nautical miles, the new Rodman 66 offers great versatility in surveillance and intervention operations.
